The liner does have some signs of wear present to it.
 
According to my research, many refer to this helmet as the "H*mmler Helmet" due to the SA being issued these helmets in the early 1930s before the large-scale German rearmament of the mid-to-late 1930s. Overall, this is a fairly rare piece that doesn't often come to market.
